Do you have water stains? Not sure why or what to do?

Our construction consulting services at Cardinal Home Solutions, LLC give homeowners piece of mind during times of uncertainty.

Here are some photos of a beautiful home that sustained wind driven rain interior water damage from a strong wind and rainstorm.

This homeowner reported to us that they observed water stains along the left elevation of his home following a strong wind and rainstorm. The homeowner figured the stains were a result from the storm, but was uncertain as to how the rain came in and if this was going to keep occurring or not. As such, the homeowner contacted his insurance company and filed a claim.

It was further reported to us that a claims adjuster inspected the home
with the homeowner and determined it was wind driven rain interior water damage. Shortly thereafter, the homeowner received an estimate and a
check in the mail.

Despite the prompt service, the homeowner reported to us that all parties left that inspection uncertain as to the proximate cause of the stains and the homeowner feared this would occur again and again. The homeowner also reported that the insurance estimate and check would not cover the amount of work required to properly restore their home according to a few contractors who looked at the project prior to our involvement.

This is when this homeowner made the wise decision and contacted Cardinal Home Solutions, LLC

Our team quickly responded to their call for help and then proceeded to complete a careful exterior and interior survey of the property. After collecting a lot of psychrometric data and ruling out potential causes, we were able to pinpoint the proximate cause of the wind driven rain interior water damages. Our findings along with our recommendations to protect the property from further damage(s) were reported over to the homeowner and to their insurance company.

Once the stains were stabilized, we prepared a thorough Xactimate reconstruction proposal that aimed to restore the home to its pre-loss condition.

We presented and reviewed this scope of work with the homeowners adjuster. We walked through the scope of work line by line and explained the repair process step by step.

Through the power of data and proper documentation coupled with honest feedback and expertise, the insurance adjuster adopted our reconstruction proposal as the basis of their reconstruction assessment, which resulted in a nearly 500% increase for our mutual client!

Needless to say, we brought this homeowner piece of mind and the results to confidently move forward with the repairs to his home.
